CMT11 is a course that introduces students to a broad spectrum of technological concepts, both in traditional media and new media. By the end of either course, students are able to use a range of technological tools, processes, and applications, integrate communications technology with other academic disciplines, design and create communication materials that solve technological problems, and explain the consequences of technology and how it affects society.
The course is designed to explore a variety of concepts that deal with how we communicate in an ever changing world of technology. Through a predominately hands-on approach, students explore electronic, print and web communication in a well-equipped media lab. In addition to high-spec computers, students will have access to scanners, DLSR cameras, HD video devices and other exciting forms of communication technology. Communications Technology 11 consists of Units based upon the following themes-Fundamentals of Communication Technology, Photography, Graphic Design, Video Production & Animation
